Merry Christmas!
Christmas 2008 was a blast! A little crazy, but still a blast. For starters, my siblings flew out from the Midwest - what a treat! It was neat to have the whole family back in my folk's house, along with the spouses and nephews. James especially had a lot of fun - he spent a lot of time playing with my nephews and learning all the cool things they could teach him, such as how to wear underpants on your head and still look cool...
...that lightsabers are cool...
...and the best poker face to put on when playing Sequence (I can't figure him out!!!)
After all the present opening, we all finally sat down for a late breakfast (at 3pm!!!). Kenneth made his famous buttermilk pancakes, and Elaine and Paul made their awesome brown sugar bacon. I would've included a photo of this stellar meal, but I ate it before I took a photo...whoops!
The rest of the day was spent playing with the many new toys and games received, watching DVDs, cross stitching (oh wait, that was me only!), and preparing for Christmas dinner! I made Roast Leg of Lamb, parmesean cheese sticks, and sweet potato cassarole with brown sugar and pecan topping. I would've taken a photo of that, too - but I ate it before I took a photo soooo...whoops again!
You can probably guess what everyone did after all the festivities and eating was done....! Merry Christmas!!!!
